A series of 60-minute experiential workshops that use movement and dance-based activities to build real communication, connection, confidence, and belonging at work.
01 – Communication and trust through movement
Most of us are capable communicators when it comes to expressing what we need. But truly listening - not just waiting for your turn to speak - is a different skill, and most of us rarely get to practise it.
In partner dance, you discover which one comes naturally to you. Both are completely normal, and both are surprisingly useful to know about yourself - because the most effective communicators are comfortable in both roles.
Warm up
Good music, simple movement. Gets everyone present and at ease.
First win
A simple salsa or bachata move danced at full speed. The moment the room shifts.
Lead & follow
Weight transfer, direction, responsiveness. The workplace parallel becomes clear.
Challenge
Small teams, one collaborative task. Energy is high by this point.
Debrief
What did you notice? When did it feel effortless? How does that translate to work?

02 – Staff wellbeing through joy and connection
Feeling good isn’t a reward for finishing work. It’s what makes the work possible. Yet for a lot of people, work is something to get through - watch the clock, wait for Friday, arrive home too tired to enjoy the evening.
Wellbeing isn’t something that gets handed to you. This workshop creates the conditions - showing up for yourself is the part that’s yours.
Warm up
Good music, simple movement. Gets everyone out of their head and into their body.
Feel good
One simple joyful dance move, danced at full speed. Pure joy, no technique required.
Connection
Moving with others, laughing together. The kind of moment you don’t forget.
The talk
What actually makes us feel well - an honest, open conversation.
Takeaways
Two or three simple things you can do from tomorrow. No apps required.

03 – Employee engagement for managers
Teams’ performance starts with how people feel, and managers have a lot more influence over that than they think. By the time someone is calling in sick too often or going quiet in meetings, that’s a flag that’s been waving for months.
The things that make the biggest difference aren’t complicated: knowing people as humans, celebrating wins properly, creating moments where people connect.
Warm up
Good music, simple movement. Gets everyone present and at ease.
Lead & follow
Partner exercises that reveal how we communicate, listen and respond in real time.
The mirror
What does your team actually experience day to day? An honest group reflection.
Takeaways
What a genuinely healthy culture feels like - and practical steps you can do tomorrow.

04 – Diversity and inclusion through dance and story
Every person in your team has a story. In most Auckland offices, you’re sitting next to people who packed a life into a suitcase and started over - and we just don’t talk about it very much. That’s a loss, for individuals and for the teams they’re part of.
Fitting in is about changing yourself to be accepted. Belonging is about being accepted as you are. “Diversity is being invited to the party. Inclusion is being asked to dance.” We think it’s time to dance.
Warm up
Music from around the world. Move however feels natural to you.
Dance the world
Three simple moves from three different cultures. No technique, just joy.
Your story
A short sharing exercise. Where are you from? What did you bring with you?
Debrief
What did you notice? What do we have in common? What can we learn from each other?

05 – Confidence and leadership through presence
Confidence isn’t something you perform. It’s something you inhabit. Most of us have met the version of ourselves that walks into a room and feels comfortable being seen - and then talked ourselves out of it.
We are our own harshest critics. We say “I can’t dance” before we’ve tried a single step. What if you approached today allowed to do anything - not recklessly, just freely, without the self-imposed limits that were never real to begin with.
Warm up
Good music, movement. Getting into your body and out of your head.
First win
A simple move danced at full speed. The moment you surprise yourself.
Own it
Exercises in presence, posture, and taking up space. Your body leads, your mind follows.
Debrief
What shifted? What felt different? How do you take this into the room tomorrow?

06 – Team building and connection
Sometimes a team just needs to move together. No theme, no deeper lesson to unpack - just music, a shared goal, and the buzz of pulling something off as a group.
Everyone learns a short group routine from scratch and performs it together by the end of the hour. It’s simple, it’s fun, and it works for any team, any occasion.
Warm up
Good music, simple movement. Gets everyone present and at ease.
Learn it
A short, fun group routine, broken down step by step. No experience needed.
Perform it
The whole team dances it together, full energy, full volume.
Debrief
What did it take to pull that off together? Where else does that show up at work?

Your team leaves with a shared memory (and a Memory Reel), plus a few things they’ll actually use.
“You can change your life in a dance class.”
– Royston Maldoom

The facilitator
11 years in HR. Lifelong in dance. Founder of Dance by Dasha, and the person leading every workshop you see here.
Dasha studied Human Resource Management at the National Research University Higher School of Economics. What makes her different is the combination - she doesn’t just teach dance, she understands organisations, people, and what it actually takes to make teams work.
Every workshop she runs is built on that dual expertise: the science of people, delivered through the joy of movement.
Why now
Stress is up. Engagement is down.
Many wellbeing and training initiatives feel like a box-tick. This workshop, people actually remember!
Book a ChatGood to know
No problem - I run sessions for teams of any size. Get in touch with your numbers and I’ll put together a plan and quote that fits.
Nobody’s forced to do anything. Every workshop is built so people can join in at whatever level feels comfortable - sitting a moment out, adapting a move, or just watching is always fine. No dance experience or particular fitness level is needed.
Yes, I can invoice directly - just let me know your company’s preferred process when you enquire.
You can cancel or reschedule up to 7 days before your session at no charge. After that, I’ll always try to find a new date rather than lose the booking.
A normal office works fine - I just need enough floor space for your group to move comfortably, away from desks and equipment. Not sure yours will work? I can visit to have a look or send me a few photos / a video and I’ll let you know.
A couple of weeks’ notice is usually enough, though earlier is better if you’re planning around a specific date like a wellbeing week or offsite. Need something sooner? Ask anyway - I’ll always try to make it work.
